Happy New Year! I hope everyone is enjoying a healthy start to 2012. January is already starting to get busy - please join us for some or all of the events that are happening at and around our school!

Our first PTA meeting of 2012 will take place next Wednesday, January 18th, in the school library at 7:00 p.m. Librarian Marissa Comins and Computer Specialist Eileen Love will present "From Home to School: The Technology Connection." The talk will focus on ways that parents can help their students use technology at home for educational purposes.

Lafayette Partners in Education Second Annual Crab Feed is happening on the evening of Saturday, January 28th. Thanks so much to our own Valerie Keely and Nicole Carberry - they are working tirelessly to make this a memorable event! If you missed the opportunity to purchase tickets to the Crab Feed (it sold out quickly!), you can still participate in the outstanding raffle to benefit LPIE, as tickets will be on sale all week on campus. See below for details about the amazing prizes that will be given away. Thank you to everyone for supporting this event.

Please be sure to join us at school on the evening of Wednesday, February 1st for International Night. This potluck extravaganza is a Lafayette School tradition you do not want to miss! Details about the evening, what you can bring, and how you can help, are below. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
